Our Origins
In 2023, ChessUnlocked began as a method to give back to the beautiful chess community that had given us all. FreeChess was initially a club on chess.com offering all sorts of education on chess ranging from lessons to articles, to discussions, etc. Soon after, however, my friends and I wanted to start our events in person as well, to help raise awareness on issues our society faces.
Our Goals
As a nonprofit organization, we make no profit from our tournaments, articles, or lessons. Our goal is to spread a love of chess around the world for everyone while raising money and awareness for pressing issues in our society.
